Three moral tales intended for young readers, from Anglo-Irish novelist Maria Edgeworth. During the first decade of the 19th century she was one of the most widely read novelists in Britain and Ireland. Her name today is most commonly associated with Castle Rackrent, her first novel, and of dedication to writing novels that encouraged the kind treatment of Irish tenants and the poor by their landlords.

In the publisher's cloth binding. Externally, excellent, with only minor bumping to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with offsetting to the endpapers. Contemporary prize ink inscription to the front endpaper.
