What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

The first editions of the complete Wind on Fire trilogy, a fantasy series, written by accomplished screenwriter and author William Nicholson. Published by Mammoth, and later Egmont (Firesong) between 2000-2002.

In the publisher's original blue cloth, in the original unclipped dust wrappers.

Having been a screen writer, co-writing the epic Gladiator and BBC's Shadowlands among others, Nicholson decided to write a children's fantasy series following two twins in an extreme meritocratic society, partly inspired by his distaste of school exams as a method for teaching.

The Wind Singer won the Smarties Prize Gold award in 2000, and the Blue Peter Book of the Year award in 2001, and the trilogy has been sold successfully across the globe.
