Noted for the existential themes in a minimalistic setting, this novel follows the survival and psychophysical plight of a navy lieutenant who believes himself to be the sole survivor of a military torpedo destroyer which sinks in the North Atlantic Ocean.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding, with unclipped dust wrapper. Fading to back strip, otherwise externally excellent. Light handling marks to dust wrapper back strip, with a touch of rubbing to paper towards fore edge of rear wrap. Loss of paper to back strip head, repaired with plain paper to back strip reverse. Further neat clear tape repairs to dust wrapper reverse to wrap heads and back strip tail. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
