Forrest Reid (1875-1947) was an Irish novelist, poet, and critic associated with the Irish Literary Revival, admired for works such as The Bracknels and The Retreat, and for his sensitive portrayals of childhood and adolescence.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Slight fading to upper extremities. Previous owner's small ink inscription to front free endpaper. One or two spots to endpapers. Dust wrapper, generally smart. Slight loss to head and tail of spine. The odd chip, closed tear, and crease to extremities. Slight damp staining to tail of spine. Slight soiling to wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean if slightly age toned.
