In the vanishingly scarce unclipped dust wrapper.

In this suspenseful murder mystery, an English policeman returning from night patrol finds a corpse in evening dress locked in the stocks on the village green. He recognises the victim as an unpopular, corrupt and eccentric man whom many people would have a reason to murder.
