A two-volume set of this biography of the renowned Romantic poet Lord Byron by the French author André Maurois (1885-1967). Written in the original French, this work is one of Maurois' popular biographies; he also wrote a memoir of Benjamin Disraeli and Percy Bysshe Shelley, among others.
Condition
In half morocco bindings, with the original paper wraps bound in. Externally, in excellent condition, except for small marks to the front board of volume I. Internally, firmly bound. Marginal age toning to pages, with the odd spot to the first few pages of volume I; otherwise clean.
