Description
First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce, With Dustwrapper
The first edition.
Bound in the publisher's cloth with the original, unclipped, dust wrapper.
Very scarce work.
An intriguing science-fiction novel, partially set twenty years in the future, imagining a utopian society in which sex is a method of hygiene. Unusually, this development is brought about through a series of violent disasters, including an expulsion of poisonous gas from the Earth's crust.
Written by William Plenderleith Knowles, his only science-fiction work.
Condition
Bound in the publisher's cloth with the original, unclipped, dust wrapper. Externally, very good, with light damp staining to boards. Worming holes to the center of the rear joint. Light scattered spots to the fore edge. Dust wrapper is very good, with light chipping and a few closed tears to the extremities. Light soiling to panels with the odd mark. Internally, firmly bound with bright, clean pages.
