Reid was a noted translator of the Greek Anthology, the influence of which can be experienced in this mythological fiction on friendship and boyhood.

Condition

In publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart with slight bumping and rubbing and the odd mark. Internally, firmly bound. Pages 9-12 unopened, with a small closed tear. Light sporadic spotting throughout, heavier to the first and last few pages.
