A charming collection of poems, reflecting the experiences and observations of a young upper-class American woman in the early 1920s. With titles including "Valentine," "The Sandwich Man," "In a Suburban Garden," "Driving in the Park," "To a Pair of Old Curtains," "A Letter to Mr. Punch," and "Lines by a Flapper to her Elderly Critics."
Loosely inserted in a one page poem written at Chocorua in 1929, "Willowgate Speaks."
Condition
In the publisher's original paper covered boards. Externally, smart. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities. One or two minor handling marks. slight soiling and discolouration to boards. The odd spot to endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with one or two spots to fore edge and gutter, heavier to first and last few leaves.
