In the publisher's original decorative cloth binding.

Adorned with fifty colour plates by Irish painter, illustrator and etcher Francis S. Walker. Collated, complete. 

This work studies extracts from an array of poets and highlights references made to their homes and countries. It also traces the relation of poets with various other environments and scenes they may have come across. 

With various contributors, and edited by Andrew Lang, a Scottish poet, novelist and literary critic, best known for his impressive 'Fairy Book' collection.

Condition

In the original decorative cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine and a small mark to the rear board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with offsetting to the endpapers and the occasional spot, heaviest to the first and last few leaves.
