Having first written her Encyclopaedia to Women's Embroidery in 1886, Dillmont then wrote this very useful and comprehensive guide across needlework, including knitting, mending, laces, embroidery and tapestry. Explaining the various different types of stitches and how to complete them, the book is perfect for the avid sewer wishing to better their craft.
Condition
In the publisher's original green cloth, in the original scarce slipcase. Externally, very smart, with slight rubbing to joints and minimal rubbing to edges. Slight browning to slipcase and the rare small spot. Slight edgewear to case, and a small chip to rear. Decorative end papers are clean with very minor wear to tails of hinges and a very small chip to bottom corner of front free end paper. Internally, firmly bound, with very minor wear to hinge between leaf p.448 and plate. Previous owner's gift inscription to half-title. Pages are bright and clean.
