    First Edition, Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

    A very scarce first edition, bound in original green cloth, with striking gilt motif to the front board.

    An informative title from Charles R. Valentine, who contributes the preface to this work. 

    Prolifically populated with monochrome vignette illustrations of animals and relevant technology.

    This work also features over 20 pages of adverts to the rear of the title.

    Condition

    Bound in original green cloth. Externally, smart. Significant discolouration to boards. The odd marks to boards. Mild rubbing and bumping to extremities. Slight marks to joints at endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean. Occasional creasing to pages. Book has a backwards lean.
