In the publisher's original red cloth. Contains all twenty-five maps, including those that fold and are in colour, twelve plans and seven panoramas. Collated complete.
Aimed to describe all the best sites to visit in this lovely region spanning Southern Germany and Austria, Baedeker visited the region numerous times in order to obtain the most accurate and reliable information at the time. A very useful guide for those wishing to hike and traverse the area.
Condition
In the publisher's original red cloth. Externally, smart, with minimal marks to boards. Slight fading to the spine, and marginal bumping to the head and tail of the spine, and to the extremities. A small split to head of rear joint. End papers are generally bright and clean with the odd smudge mark. Baedeker's other guidebooks to front paste down, and a map of the Eastern Alps to rear end papers. Internally, firmly bound, with slight wear to hinges between leaves pp.110 and plate, and p.241 and plate. Pages generally bright and clean, with slight age toning.
