    A very scarce first edition copy of this 1856 work, bound in smart blue half morocco, and decorated with marbled boards and gilt detail.

    A fascinating look at the foods and eating habits of 19th Century Paris, by economist and administrator Armand Husson.

    Condition

    Bound in half green morocco and marbled boards. Externally, generally smart. Rubbing to extremities. The odd marks to boards. 2 areas of loss to marbled cover - small areas of board loss to both boards. Rubbing to spine. Slight loss to leather to head and tail. Age toning to endpapers. Rear hinge showing potential for weakness. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean, with occasional spotting. Tide mark to approx. last 150 pages. Stamp of the Chateau du Breau sans Nappe to title page.
