Mrs. Hofland's Integrity in a half brown calf binding with marbled paper-covered boards. Barbara Hofland was an English writer of some sixty-six didactic, moral stories for children, and of schoolbooks and poetry. She was asked by John Soane to write a description of his still extant museum in London's Lincoln's Inn Fields.
With a monochrome illustrated frontispiece.
Condition
In half brown calf with marbled paper-covered boards. Externally, mostly smart. Leather is rubbed and shelf wear to the extremities. Fading and loss to paper of boards. Rubbing to spine head and tail. Front and rear hinges starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright if slightly age toned with minor spotting only to first and last few leaves.
