The uncommon Burslem edition of John Bunyan's influential Christian allegory, along with a selection of his other works. Bunyan was famously imprisoned for twelve years due to his nonconformist religion, which is where he began writing The Pilgrim's Progress. First published in 1678, the work has seen countless reprints and has been translated into more than two-hundred languages.

Condition

Bound in brown full calf. Externally, reasonably smart with slight bumping and rubbing, resulting in minor loss of cloth and cloth coming away at tail of spine. A few marks to both boards. Internally, firmly bound with the exception of the front board, which is completely loose. Moderate to significant spotting throughout.
