A charming volume collecting together five later 1725 Dublin editions of popular comedy plays.

Present here are:

'The Tender Husband' by Sir Richard Steele, ESTC N13492. With an epilogue and advertisement leaf to the rear.

'The Lying Lover' by Sir Richard Steele, ESTC T170384

'The Busie Body' by Susanna Centlivre. The fourth edition, with terminal advertisement leaf. ESTC N15303

'The Gamester' by Susanna Centlivre, ESTC T52664

'The Man of Mode' by Sir George Etherege, ESTC N4402, with a terminal advertisement leaf.

Handsomely bound in a contemporary calf binding.

Condition

In a contemporary full calf binding. Light rubbing to joints and raised bands, and to back strip head. Hinges strained, but firmly held. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages lightly age toned due to paper type, with the odd handling mark.
